Laurel Loo is currently a co-managing partner at the law firm of McCorriston Miller Mukai MacKinnon, practicing out of their Kauaʻi office. She has spent the last two decades practicing law on the island, primarily focusing on land-use law. A few years ago, Loo was a consultant to 撸sir视频 for the rezoning of the Kauaʻi Community College campus to accommodate its long-range goals.

Loo earned her Bachelor of Arts degree in journalism from the University of 撸sir视频ʻi at 撸sir视频 and is also a 撸sir视频uate of the William S. Richardson School of Law. As a journalism student, she volunteered at the campus newspaper, Ka Leo, and by her senior year was editor in chief.

Education had always been an area of interest for Loo. As a reporter for The Honolulu Advertiser in the 1980s, she had a weekly column as its education writer. In 1998, she taught criminal justice as a lecturer at the University of 撸sir视频ʻi at Hilo. Today, in addition to her law practice, she is also a per diem judge sitting in the Family and District Courts on Kauaʻi.
