Educate and train had more ranking No. 1. First three priorities among top three choices of majority. Only quarter ranked 撸sir视频ian issues within top three choices.

Opinions varied across counties of 撸sir视频ʻi

• Oʻahu residents rated to provide the scientific and intellectual capacity to address 撸sir视频ʻi鈥檚 problems more important than other counties
• 撸sir视频ʻi County residents felt that to increase the number of 撸sir视频ʻi residents who have education and training beyond a high school diploma,targeting those who have been under-represented were a much higher priority.
• 撸sir视频ʻi County felt to drive economic diversification was a lower priority for the 撸sir视频 than other counties reported.

Ranking by Age of Respondent

• Under 25 years old were less likely to want the 撸sir视频 to drive economic diversification. They saw the 撸sir视频 as an institution to educate and train residents for 撸sir视频ʻi鈥檚 jobs.
• They also felt it was the 撸sir视频 responsibility to sustain and support the 撸sir视频ian language, culture, and people. In fact, it was the only age segment to rate it among their top three priorities.
• Age 25 to 44 years old rated to sustain and support the 撸sir视频ian language, culture, and people as their lowest priority, but the average rating was still statistically a more important priority than what older respondents rated.
• The oldest segment, those 65 years old and older, were the most adamant about the 撸sir视频鈥檚 role to drive economic diversification and to provide the scientific and intellectual capacity.

Suggestions for Other Top Priorities

Affordable

Ensure access to affordable higher education

• Keep tuition affordable without decreasing the quality of education
• Focus on lowering costs for 撸sir视频

Administration

Revamp the administration and processes: Eliminate bureaucratic inefficiencies, one seamless system across all campuses, etc.

• Administrative team and Regents must become strong and vocal advocates for the university
• Ensure the administrators are transparent and willing to share information

Infrastructure

Fix campus infrastructure, both physical structures and technology capacity

• Modernize facilities at 撸sir视频 Mānoa and create a safer campus environment in order to attract top 撸sir视频 from abroad and keep top 撸sir视频ʻi 撸sir视频 from going elsewhere

Suggestions for Other Top Priorities (Cont鈥檇)

Focus on needs of the 撸sir视频 for physical and mental safety and housing

Ensure affordable housing is available to all 撸sir视频 residents attending 撸sir视频. Housing insecurity is by far the biggest issue facing our 撸sir视频.

Position the 撸sir视频 as a leader in International issues relevant to our location in Asia-Pacific

• Major focus on areas of study unique to 撸sir视频's location & strengths
• Lead Pacific Island nations in innovation

撸sir视频 Athletics

Increase support for the revenue producing athletic programs to enhance both revenue and non-revenue athletic opportunities

Ranking by Affiliation with the 撸sir视频

• Current 撸sir视频 and employees rated 鈥�drive economic diversification鈥� as a lower priority compared to the other respondents.
• Donors to the 撸sir视频 did not see the need to increase access to more programs for 撸sir视频 and communities as high a priority as did other respondents.
• Donors were more likely to rate 鈥�provide the scientific and intellectual capacity鈥� as a high priority, particularly compared to 撸sir视频uates, parents, and current 撸sir视频.

Ranking by Occupation

• Managers were more likely to rank 鈥�educate and train residents for 撸sir视频ʻi鈥檚 jobs鈥� as their number one top priority.
• Those in crafts and trades, professionals, and retirees, looked at the future of 撸sir视频 as a strong research facility to provide the scientific and intellectual capacity which would also drive economic diversification for the state.
• Those in the Armed forces, clerical workers, homemakers, managers, and services and sales, looked at the 撸sir视频 more as an educational institution to educate and train residents for 撸sir视频ʻi鈥檚 jobs.
• Clerical workers were also more likely to say that the 撸sir视频 help residents have education/training beyond a high school diploma and the 撸sir视频 should increase access to more programs for 撸sir视频 and communities.
• Students felt that the 撸sir视频 needs to take action to sustain and support the 撸sir视频ian language, culture, and people. And they listed this priority as one of their top three priorities.
