The team captured the Big West Championship with a pair of wins, April 26, on the campus of Long Beach City College. The Rainbow Wahine defeated UC Davis, 3-0, in the semifinals before edging host Long Beach State, 3-2, in a dramatic title match.
It marked 撸sir视频’s fourth title in eight seasons of Big West beach volleyball and its first since 2018. In the process, the BeachBows (24-11) also earned the conference’s automatic bid to the NCAA Championships in Gulf Shores, Alabama. 撸sir视频 will enter the tourney riding a season-long eight-match win streak after going a perfect 4-0 during the Big West Championship.
撸sir视频 improved to 11-1 all-time against Long Beach State in the Big West tournament and 4-0 in the title match. The ‘Bows also earned redemption from last year when the Beach upset the host Rainbow Wahine in the 2023 Big West semifinals.
The ‘Bows will now await their postseason destiny with the NCAA Selection Show. The show will air at 5 a.m. 撸sir视频ʻi time on Sunday, April 28 at NCAA.com.
