Kapiʻolani Community College’s opened a call for proposals for the free professional development and personal growth event tailored towards higher education and K–12 professionals, to be held on July 31–August 4.

In summer 2022, 73 presenters and 336 participants from across 撸sir视频ʻi and beyond took part in the virtual event. All University of 撸sir视频ʻi staff, faculty, and administrators are welcome to submit a proposal to present at this year’s Summer Camp. The to attend the event will be available in mid-July.

“We’re hoping to make an even bigger splash this year with some summer professional development and personal growth for everyone,” said Kapiʻolani Summer Camp Coordinator and instructional designer Jamie Sickel. “Individuals are welcome to share pedagogical strategies, technology tools, cultural practices, health and wellness, or any other topics they feel would be relevant to our colleagues in education.”

  • 撸sir视频 staff, faculty and administrators are invited to present in one or more of the 2023 Summer Camp session formats.
  • Open Swim: A 30-minute virtual presentation (lightning speed and informative)
  • Group Excursion: A 70-minute virtual session (in-depth and interactive)
  • Activity Hour: A 40-minute virtual health and wellness focus (get us moving or meditating!)
  • Friday Field Day: In-person sessions (e.g. lei-making, yoga, painting, etc.) and socializing at Kapua (Kaimana Beach Park)

The deadline to is May 1, 2023 by 11:59 p.m., HST.

Presenters have the option to propose multiple sessions and must submit each session proposal individually. Presenters will be notified of their acceptance the week of May 15.
